3 Tips / Updates

1/ Verify Pages

Remember the infamous Turn into wiki feature? While it wasn't widely adopted, it did introduce one valuable capability: page verification. Back then, verification was limited to wiki mode only.

Not anymore! You can now verify any page in your workspace—provided you're on the business or enterprise plans.

Page verification is especially useful for documents that require formal approval and revision tracking, like SOPs and other important documentation.

To verify a page, hover over the top and click Verify. You'll set an expiration date for the verification. Once activated, you'll see a Verify tag in the page's breadcrumbs.

You can adjust the verification end date and owner, or remove the verification entirely by clicking the Verified tag at the top of the page.

2/ Translate Pages

If your page is in a different language than your workspace, or if you need to translate large amounts of text, you can now use the new AI Translate feature. It works almost instantly for most pages.

To translate a page, open the page settings (click in the top-right corner), then select Translate. You can choose both the source and target languages—the source language is automatically detected.

After translation, you can switch between languages using the blue ribbon at the top of the page. You can also click Duplicate to edit to create an editable copy in the new language.

3/ New Notion AI Connector

Remember you can use Notion AI to search information across other apps like Slack, GitHub, or Google Drive? Well, they added a new connector for... Jira!

Microsoft Teams is next on the list—so stay tuned, laggards!

2 Resources

1/ Notion Mail Full Guide

OK—for the BIG news of this week. Since I got access to Notion Mail, I went above and beyond and tested EVERYTHING. I wrote a very detailed blog post that goes over every Notion Mail feature, including navigation, views, filtering/grouping, text editor, AI features, and templates.

I also go over how I personally organize my inbox(es) for maximum efficiency, and finally, I list all the missing features/bugs that I hope will be solved in the future.

Honestly, after less than a week of use, I already switched from Gmail, which I've been using for 10+ years. It's that good.

2/ Writing a Book with Notion

I've always wondered how well Notion works for authors. Simone Stolzoff, a reporter for The Atlantic, offers an interesting case study (though I'm sure many other authors have used Notion before).

Discover how The Good Enough Job came to life through Notion, along with Simone's tips for aspiring book writers.
