Hey — it’s Rames
You wake up, it’s Friday, and your feeling of overwhelm still hasn't left. A thousand thoughts go through your brain — and unfortunately, you can't turn them off. There's so much going on at the same time that you feel paralyzed, unable to focus and do the things you love.
But, deep down, you know there's an answer. And that answer, I might have found it for you. Three simple steps that should get you out of your brain's fogginess.
1/ Declutter your brain
Our brains have never been built to store that much information. They're just supposed to let things in and filter what's relevant to your current situation.
The good news is, we've built computers! And computers, with the help of a few additional tools, can do exactly that.
Notion Second Brain is a template I built for getting unstuck in life. It lets you capture your thoughts, plan your weeks, and stay in touch with what truly matters to you.
2/ Create momentum
The hardest step is always the first. Once you get started, it's easier to keep going than to stop. That, my friend, is momentum. And momentum is one of the keys to living a great life.
And if getting started is still too hard, maybe what you need is...
3/ Habit stacking
Habit stacking, following James Clear own words, is to identify a current habit and then stack your new behaviour on top.
Take any habit you know you do every day. Maybe it’s having a cup of tea in the morning. Add a new habit just after you finished your tea, like journaling. Repeat the process for a few days, then, before you’ll notice, you’ll be journaling on auto-pilot.
If you’re still feeling stuck — maybe it’s time for a change. Notion Second Brain has everything to help you smoothen that change, including a habit tracker, a journal template, a task manager, and more.
