1/ Auto-title pages

Automations 2.0 is a game changer! Every day, I see new practical use cases that previously needed external tools. One of my favorites? Auto-assigning page titles based on other property values. Many of my clients have asked for this.

For example, let’s say your CRM requires separate fields for First Name and Last Name due to integration needs. Here’s how to automatically create your page titles:

1. Create a new automation.

2. Trigger: Choose Page added, First Name edited, or Last Name edited. Use the When Any triggers occur option at the top.

3. Action: Edit property → Full Name (your title property) → Edit as formula.

4. Use this formula: Trigger page.prop("First Name") + " " + Trigger page.prop("Last Name")

5. Name your automation and hit Save.

2/ New iPhone shortcuts

For iPhone shortcuts enthusiasts, here are four cool ones to try:

• Search in Notion

• Open an existing page

• Create a new page

• Add text to a page

I don’t use iPhone shortcuts much, but I’m intrigued. Do you use them? Could be handy for quick journal entries 👀

3/ Updated color picker

You can't have missed this one unless you write nothing in Notion, but they've just updated their color picker. It looks great (I kinda hated the huge list of options), but I find it a bit more challenging to know which color is which, which can also cause accessibility issues.
