3 Tips / Updates

1/ AI Meeting Notes

There’s a new block in town: AI Meeting Notes!

Here’s how the AI Meeting Notes block works:

  • Start a meeting from anywhere on your laptop (Google Meet, Zoom, etc.)

  • Capture and transcribe audio in real time

  • Take notes directly in the block

  • Instantly generate a summary that includes both the transcript and your own notes

  • Stay aligned with your team’s conversations

The block is divided into three sections:

  1. Your notes

  2. Live transcript

  3. AI-generated summary (which includes your notes!)

Try typing /meet on any page to check if you have access to the block. Once it's added, you can customize settings like language, meeting format (e.g. sales call, team sync), consent message, voice options, and even sync it with your Notion Calendar.

A few things to note:

  • It’s still in beta and rolling out gradually — not everyone has it yet

  • Only works with the latest version of the desktop app (not in the browser)

  • Be sure to get everyone’s consent before recording

  • From my tests, it doesn’t yet detect or separate different speakers — everything appears in a single quote block

  • It also replaces the "Dictate" feature, which will no longer be available

  • It’s currently free, but will likely become part of the AI add-on plans soon

2/ Replit integration

If you follow Make With James, my personal newsletter, you know I’ve been experimenting a lot with vibe coding lately. I mostly use Cursor, but another popular tool is Replit, which lets you build websites and apps from scratch using AI-generated code.

Now, thanks to their latest integration, you can use Notion as your backend. A great example? Creating a blog where all your content lives in a Notion database — turning Notion into a CMS has never been easier.

You can pull and push data between Replit and Notion, making your websites more dynamic, easier to manage, and perfect for automation.

3/ Share with link

Notion just added a small but handy new feature: you can now share any page simply by sharing its link.

Here's how:

  1. On your page, click "Share" at the top-right

  2. Click "Only people invited"

  3. Click "Anyone on the web with link"

  4. Define sharing permissions and set an expiry time

2 Resources

1/ Learn Notion from the GOAT

If you’ve been using Notion for a while, you’ve probably heard of Marie Poulin. She’s one of the earliest Notion power users and has shared tons of free content—especially YouTube videos—on using Notion for both personal life and work.

Her course, Notion Mastery, is the most extensive program where she shares everything she knows to help you become a true Notion Zen Master.

Along with in-depth lessons, you get access to live trainings, workshops, community, events, private office hours, a supportive online forum, a deep-dive guide to Notion formulas, and more.

It’s not cheap—$799 or 3×$280, with parity pricing available—but if you’re serious about mastering Notion, there’s honestly no better resource out there right now.

2/ Notion is fun

Ben Borowski—Marie Poulin’s husband and a fellow Notion expert—recently wrote a short piece about fun. It’s not directly related to Notion, but I really enjoyed it. It reminded me how lucky we are that Notion is such a fun tool to use.

I spend countless hours in Notion, and I’m genuinely grateful that it still feels playful and exciting to build with—even after all this time.
