3 Tips

1/ New Notion Functions

Notion announced three new formula functions. What better way to start the week? You tell me.

Here's what they've released:

• mean(): Outputs the mean of an array of numbers. mean(2,3,4,3,2) == 2.8

• median(): Outputs the median of an array of numbers. median(2,3,4,3,2) == 3

• today(): This one is my personal favorite and the one I'm most excited about. It's also the most basic. It just outputs today's date. But it's way better than now().formatDate("YYYYMMDD").parseDate()

2/ Crop Images in Notion

I never thought Notion would introduce this feature, but here we are! You can now crop the images you import into Notion. It only works with your own uploads (so no images from Unsplash, the web, or Giphy) and static image formats (no gifs).

3/ Request Edit Access

People with access permissions lower than "Can edit" can now "Request edit access" on any Notion page. This feature is extremely useful for teams — it will save a lot of time managing access and help set up more granular permissions.
